Why is this play significant?

The first production of this famed play in-the-round since its original production (and - to this day - one of the few significant in-the-round productions of the play). Given it is a play set squarely in the realm of proscenium arch theatres, Alan Ayckbourn was not convinced it would work, but was happy to be proved wrong!

Notes

This production marked the first time The Dresser has been performed professionally in-the-round since its world premiere at the Manchester Royal Exchange in 1980.
