Why is this play significant?

This adaptation of Jerome K Jerome's novel is frequently revived but rarely is credit given to theatre in the round in Scarborough for commissioning the play. It began life as a new work premiered in the Studio Theatre - as was common of much new work at the time - before being revived around the globe.
