○ This production marked the shortest period to date between a play being premiered at Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre (21 December 1959) and being revived with a different production (30 June 1960). Details of the 1959 production can be found here.
○ The director, Julian Herington, apparently disliked the original setting of the play and updated it to a contemporary setting, changing the characters' names and several aspects of the play.
○ Love After All was Alan Ayckbourn's second full-length, commissioned play. Alan Ayckbourn joined the Studio Theatre Ltd company in 1957 as a stage manager, progressing to actor, later playwright, then director and eventually Artistic Director of the company in 1972.
○ Love After All was originally scheduled to run at the Library Theatre from 30 June - 6 July, 28 July - 3 August and 8 - 10 September. However, the schedule was extensively altered after the season had begun and Love After All ran for two weeks from 30 June - 13 July before returning from 28 July - 3 August.
○ Love After All is credited to Roland Allen, a pseudonym used by Alan Ayckbourn during the writing of his first four plays.
○ Love After All was presented without an interval.
