Notes
The Private Ear was presented in a double bill (entitled Two Plays By Peter Shaffer) with The Public Eye.
The director, Rosamund Dickson, had previously been an actor with the company between 1960 and 1961. She was the company's first female director. The other female directors at Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre were Joan Macalpine (1968), Pamela Craig (1969), Janet Dale (1974 - 1975), Matyelok Gibbs (1972) and Caroline Smith (1971).
The programme credits Bob as being played by Normon Wingrove as opposed to Norman Wingrove.
This is believed to be the first professional in-the-round production of The Private Ear in the UK.
