Plays set in - or near Scarborough were incredibly rare during the first five decades of theatre in the round in Scarborough's existence (before becoming increasingly common from the 2010s onwards) with Trailer set in nearby Filey. It's also notable for being written by the actor Paul Copley, who went to on to a significant career on stage and screen.
