○ The Island was a collaboration between the Stephen Joseph Theatre In The Round and Scarborough’s North Riding College of Education.
○ It was a touring production aimed at schools throughout the Scarborough area and during its month long tour, it visited more than 40 schools in the area.
○ This was the second major theatre-in-education tour to originate from the company following the smaller scale tour of Scraps in 1976.
