1963 Production Notes
○ Fallen Angels was the first to be presented by Theatre In The Round Ltd, the company which ran the theatre for two years after Studio Theatre Ltd - the company which founded Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre in Scarborough - moved to a new permanent home at the Victoria Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent. The company worked on a very restrictive budget as all the Arts Council subsidy had gone to Stoke-on-Trent.
○ Very little is held in archive regarding the 1963 summer season at Theatre in the Round at the Library Theatre. This includes what productions took place during the final week of the season from 9 - 14 September. The brochure states "For the final week al the plays will be performed in repertoire. Full details will be announced later in the season." Sadly, research has not revealed what the week's schedule was.
○ Comeback was the only new play presented during the 1963 summer season.
○ Three Plays by James Saunders replaced the original advertised production of Colin Wilson’s unfinished play Necessary Doubt.
○ The majority of productions in 1963 were performed without an interval.
